Dual-Boot Windows 7 with other Operating Systems

Install other Operating Systems on a Windows 7 computer so they will all boot on that computer
Create natural dual-boots, triple-boots or multi-boots without using any third-party booting utility.
All combinations have been tested successfully many times.

Windows 7 is already installed and you want to keep it!
If Windows 7 is not already on your computer, go to the Dual-Boot Centre.

  1. Dual-boot Windows 7 + 7 (Win7 installed first)
  2. Dual-boot Windows 7 + Vista (Win7 installed first)
  3. Dual-boot Windows 7 + XP (Win7 installed first)
  4. Dual-boot Windows 7 + 2000 (Win7 installed first)
  5. Dual-boot Windows 7 + 98/Me (Win7 installed first)
  6. Dual-boot Windows 7 + MS-DOS 7.10 (Win7 installed first)
     
  7. Install Ubuntu inside Windows 7 like an application (easiest install & uninstall for newbies)
  8. Dual-boot Windows 7 + Linux Ubuntu 11.10 leaving Win 7 in control (Win7 installed first)
  9. Dual-boot Windows 7 + Linux Ubuntu 11.10 putting GRUB2 in control (Win7 installed first)
  10.    Dual-boot Windows 7 + Linux Ubuntu 11.04 leaving Win 7 in control (Win7 installed first)
  11.    Dual-boot Windows 7 + Linux Ubuntu 11.04 putting GRUB2 in control (Win7 installed first)
